This week's episode (the first of what I'm calling a Supplemental Episode) features a long form interview submitted by one of my previous guests, Atlanta-based artist Craig Dongoski. Craig speaks with art students/collaborators who participated in a project combining art, music (free jazz), and film: Drawing Through.

Make sure to check out Larry Clark's groundbreaking film of the same title, Passing Through.

'Drawing Through': Meditation #1 is the video and sonic artifact from a meditation where artists and musicians were instructed to draw (or play) only when they have a thought. The workshop was conceived and directed by Craig Dongoski http://drawingvoices.com/ and consisted of three parts that were enacted in real time from scratch to totality. This video is the first event which was realized from videoing the Filmmaker Larry Clark's hands and mic-ing the sounds of inscription. The footage was later used to direct artists and musicians. It served as a graphic score for a non-idiomatic improvisation https://soundcloud.com/pan-trog/drawing-through/edit Larry Clark is the director of the film 'Passing Through' 1977 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Clark_%28filmmaker%29 http://passthruart.tumblr.com/post/115444031289/two-meditations-exercises-in-meditation-and-mark?utm_campaign=SharedPost&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=TumblriOS
